Editorial standards

LeoDex News is a crypto news publication written and edited by Khal. This page describes how stories are sourced, the standards every article is held to, and how readers can request corrections.

Sourcing

Every story is built from official channels (exchange announcements, project blogs, SEC filings, court documents, government press releases) and established crypto newsrooms with bylines and editorial corrections policies. Sources are tiered:

  • Tier A — official channels and major newsrooms (Reuters, Bloomberg, WSJ, Financial Times, CoinDesk, The Block, Decrypt).
  • Tier B — established crypto outlets used for corroboration (Cointelegraph, CryptoSlate, Crypto Briefing, U.Today).
  • Tier C — community / forum sources used only as context, never as the sole source.

An article must cite at least one Tier-A source or two Tier-B sources to be published. For long-tail tokens under $50M market cap, at least three sources are required and market cap is disclosed in the body.

Writing standards

Articles are 350–450 words, hyper-specific, written from primary sources, and ground every factual sentence in cited material. Direct quotations are taken verbatim from the cited source and verified character-by-character. Articles avoid investment-advice phrasing, price prediction, and "FOMO" language; coverage of contested claims requires named attribution or an official-tier source.

Fact-checking

Before publication, every article is reviewed against its sources for: quote authenticity, claim grounding, framing fairness, prohibited investment-advice phrasing, long-tail-token guardrails, unverified accusations, headline-versus-body fit, and duplication against recent coverage. Articles failing any of these standards are killed or rewritten.

Editorial sign-off

Every published article appears under the byline "Khal" — the editor responsible for the content and the addressee for corrections, legal notices, and reader correspondence. See the editor profile for background.

Corrections and retractions

If you spot a factual error, an unfair characterisation, or content that should not have been published, see the corrections page. Corrections are processed promptly and tracked publicly.

Conflicts of interest

LeoDex News is a publication of LeoDex.io. Articles routinely contain inline calls-to-action to trade tokens on LeoDex. These CTAs are marked rel="sponsored" so search engines and readers can see them as commercial. We do not accept payment from token projects or third parties for editorial coverage; all advertising surfaces are the LeoDex CTA modules, which are clearly non-editorial.

Caveats

Readers should treat all financial commentary as informational only and never as a recommendation. Always do your own research before trading.
