In brief

  • Binance expanded bStocks with 10 new trading pairs on July 22, accelerating its BNB Chain tokenized equity platform
  • AXTIB and CRWVB represent AXT semiconductors and CoreWeave AI infrastructure, both Nasdaq-listed companies
  • bStocks are BEP-20 tokens backed 1:1 by US shares in custody, operating under FSRA approval

Expansion accelerates two months after launch

The expansion follows the initial bStocks launch in June 2026, which introduced pairs tied to Tesla and Circle. The July 22 addition signals momentum beyond a cautious pilot. Adding 10 more pairs two months later, including names tied to AI and semiconductors, suggests the platform is moving faster than a cautious pilot program would.

Two of the new additions stand out. CoreWeave, represented by CRWVB, is an AI infrastructure company that listed on Nasdaq in March 2025. AXT, represented by AXTIB, is a semiconductor substrate manufacturer. Both reflect the tech-heavy focus of the new cohort.

How bStocks work

The structure classifies each bStock as a certificate representing a financial instrument rather than a direct equity stake. Each token is backed 1:1 by a corresponding US share held in custody, meaning the underlying asset is real, even if the token itself trades on a blockchain.

Binance operates the bStocks framework under approval from the FSRA in Abu Dhabi. Eligible pairs also support margin trading, though the ability to borrow against positions has not yet been activated at launch.

"The pitch to users is straightforward: 24/7 trading, self-custody on BNB Chain, and access to US equities without needing a traditional brokerage account."

The appeal is clear. On-chain trading of US equities without intermediaries, with leverage available once borrowing goes live. Whether regulators in the US will tolerate the structure long-term remains an open question, but for now, Binance is moving ahead.
