Bitcoin ETFs log $2.4B inflow week, strongest since October 2025
In brief
- Bitcoin ETFs recorded $2.4B net inflows in week ending September 25, best since October 2025
- BlackRock IBIT led with $1.2B, followed by Fidelity FBTC ($702M) and ARK ARKB ($295M)
- Year-to-date flows turned positive at $934M after $5.8B deficit in mid-July
- Ether, Solana, and XRP ETFs also saw significant inflows during the same week
- Seven-session rally preceded record week, indicating sustained shift in investor sentiment
Concentration Among Top Three
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) absorbed the lion's share, attracting approximately $1.2 billion of the week's total inflows. Fidelity's FBTC came in second with roughly $702 million in net inflows, while ARK 21Shares' ARKB rounded out the top three at approximately $295 million. Between them, these three products accounted for more than 90% of the week's capital inflows.
The concentration reflects the dominance of the largest spot Bitcoin ETF issuers in capturing institutional demand. Monday saw inflows peak at nearly $999 million, a single-day figure that would have been noteworthy as a standalone weekly total just months earlier. Momentum slowed as the week progressed, with Friday's inflow dwindling to $135 million.
Broader Recovery and Year-to-Date Turnaround
Year-to-date net flows for spot Bitcoin ETFs now sit at roughly $934 million, a remarkable recovery considering the category experienced a deficit of roughly $5.8 billion from mid-July. Since their introduction in January 2024, spot Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated cumulative net inflows exceeding $57 billion, and total assets under management reached approximately $108 billion by late September 2026.
The reversal matters because spot Bitcoin ETFs spent most of 2026's first half bleeding capital, including a record $4.51 billion in outflows in June. A seven-session inflow streak preceded this record week, suggesting the shift isn't a one-off event but rather a more durable change in positioning.
Broader Crypto ETF Momentum
The inflow story extended well beyond Bitcoin. Ether ETFs attracted about $690 million during the same week, Solana ETFs pulled in roughly $188 million, and XRP ETFs drew approximately $76 million. Bitcoin briefly touched $87,000 early in the week before retreating to the $83,000 to $84,000 range, yet the capital inflows persisted, suggesting buying interest wasn't purely momentum-driven.
