Bitcoin ETFs post $681M weekly outflow, ending three-week inflow streak
In brief
- Bitcoin ETFs logged about $681.10 million in net outflows for the week ending October 9, per U.Today.
- The outflow ended a three-week inflow streak that had included nearly $2.4 billion over two weeks.
- Fidelity's fund led with up to $380.36 million withdrawn; ARKB followed with $207.21 million.
- BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF recorded a small net inflow of $1.02 million.
- The figures are preliminary and may be revised.
A fast reversal after a strong run
The weekly number lands right after a strong stretch for the funds. Bitcoin ETFs had drawn nearly $2.4 billion in inflows over the prior two weeks, per U.Today, and the $681.10 million net outflow ended what had been three straight weeks of money coming in.
It wasn't one bad session, either. U.Today reported that the funds saw withdrawals on most days of the week, which means the selling was spread out rather than packed into a single day.
That's a sharp turn in a short window.
Fidelity and ARK lead the withdrawals
Fidelity drew the most attention this time. Its Bitcoin fund recorded the largest outflow among all existing Bitcoin ETFs, with weekly withdrawals of up to $380.36 million, according to the report.
ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) came next. It saw $207.21 million in withdrawals over the same week.
BlackRock's fund moved the other way. U.Today said it recorded a small net inflow of $1.02 million over the period, a shift in trend for the issuer even if the amount itself is modest next to the outflows from Fidelity and ARK.
How U.Today reads the week
U.Today's own interpretation is that investors have become more cautious about Bitcoin exposure following a recent market correction. The outlet also said the outflows signal a shift in sentiment among institutional investors after a sharp Bitcoin downtrend.
Those are U.Today's readings (they aren't data points), and a single week of flows doesn't settle the question on its own. What the numbers do show is a clear break from the pattern of the previous three weeks, with two issuers accounting for the biggest withdrawals and BlackRock holding roughly flat.
The figures cover the trading week ending October 9, 2026. They're preliminary, so the totals and per-fund numbers could still be revised as final flow data comes in.
