CoreWeave's standout achievement was a 96% goodput rating in the ClusterMAX 3.0 evaluation. The industry average sits around 90%, meaning CoreWeave's 6-percentage-point gap translates into days of saved compute time and millions in efficiency gains at the scale of frontier AI model training.
SemiAnalysis introduced ClusterMAX as the first benchmark focused on real-world performance for enterprise GPU cloud services. The latest ClusterMAX 3.0 report, released on September 23, 2026, evaluated 323 providers based on over 200 end-user interviews. The evaluation spans ten critical categories, including security, orchestration, storage, and networking performance.
Of the providers assessed, 77 received thorough in-depth evaluations. CoreWeave's consistent Platinum ranking across all three cycles underscores its operational consistency.
Market position and competitive advantage
CoreWeave operates more than 10,000 H100 clusters and counts OpenAI, Jane Street, and NVIDIA among its notable users. The company is the only provider that can consistently command premium pricing based on user feedback.
Dylan Patel, founder of SemiAnalysis, said CoreWeave "sets the bar for others to follow." This assessment reflects both technical performance and market perception.
CoreWeave's trajectory began with sole Platinum status since the inaugural ClusterMAX report in March 2025, maintained through the 2.0 cycle in November 2025. Nebius entered the Platinum tier alongside CoreWeave in the latest cycle, marking the first time any provider has joined CoreWeave at the top.
The neocloud sector—providers built specifically for AI and high-performance computing—remains CoreWeave's competitive arena. Its sustained top-tier rating demonstrates the company's ability to execute at scale while maintaining the infrastructure quality enterprise users demand.
