Coinbase isn't launching a token as part of this deal, and Riot isn't integrating NFTs into VALORANT. The partnership stays focused on education rather than on-chain mechanics. That restraint may be precisely what keeps it credible with both platforms' audiences.
A minor Solana-based token referencing EDG has appeared in connection with the tournament, but its visibility and trading volume remain negligible. The real story isn't tokenomics—it's reach.
