- Company has raised $327 million since 2022 founding
- Processes 15 trillion tokens daily, focuses on enterprise AI inference
Rapid Valuation Growth
Fireworks AI's $15 billion valuation represents extraordinary momentum in less than a year. The October 2025 Series C brought in $250 million at a $4 billion valuation, co-led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Index Ventures, and Evantic Capital, with Sequoia Capital also participating. Before that, the company raised $52 million in a Series B in July 2024, valued at $552 million. In roughly 18 months, the startup has climbed from half a billion to a potential $15 billion valuation.
Total funding raised to date sits at over $327 million.
The Inference Play
Fireworks AI built its business around providing high-efficiency inference for open-source large language models and other generative AI applications. CEO and co-founder Lin Qiao, a former Meta engineer, has steered the company toward enterprise-grade AI inference, positioning it in a crowded but lucrative market. The company processes 15 trillion tokens daily, serving customers who need faster, cheaper inference without relying on closed-source models.
This focus on inference — the computationally expensive process of running trained models — has become a strategic battleground. As enterprises adopt open-source alternatives to proprietary AI systems, efficiency gains translate directly into cost savings at scale. Fireworks AI's valuation jump reflects investor appetite for infrastructure plays that can serve this demand.
