Fomo overtakes Pump.fun in daily revenue on Solana
In brief
- Fomo generated $1.76M daily revenue Friday, surpassing Pump.fun's $1.1M
- Pump.fun leads 30-day revenue with $57M versus Fomo's $17.6M
- Fomo closed $75M Series B at $550M valuation in June
Single-Day Victory, But Pump.fun Leads Long-Term
The Friday revenue surge marks a notable milestone for Fomo, though it doesn't yet signal a sustained shift in market dominance. Pump.fun generated more than $57 million over the past 30 days, compared with Fomo's $17.6 million for the same period. The launchpad remains firmly ahead on a 30-day basis.
Fomo's momentum reflects recent product expansion and funding success. The platform closed a $75 million Series B round in June led by Index Ventures, which valued the social trading app at $550 million.
Growth Drivers and User Adoption
Fomo's recent gains stem from both product innovation and user acquisition strategies. The company launched perpetual futures contracts powered by Hyperliquid on June 11 for users outside the US, expanding its trading offerings beyond spot markets. On the onboarding front, more than 68,000 users made their first cryptocurrency purchase on Fomo using Apple Pay, suggesting strong accessibility for new entrants.
The platform has also invested heavily in user incentives. Fomo paid users more than $2 million in referral fees as of June 2, creating a viral loop that drives acquisition and engagement.
"Fomo combines cryptocurrency trading with social features resembling a social media feed."
Friday's revenue overtake reflects Fomo's ability to capture daily volatility and user participation on Solana. Whether this translates to sustained market share gains or remains a single-day anomaly depends on whether the platform can maintain user retention and expand its feature set faster than Pump.fun iterates on its core launchpad product.
