In brief

  • NEAR traded around $5.27 after briefly reaching roughly $5.47, per U.Today.
  • U.Today called NEAR 'extremely extended,' citing immediate resistance at $5.40-$5.50 and $6.00 as the next psychological target.
  • HYPE traded around $86.14, almost 12% below its recent $97-$98 peak.
  • ETH traded near $2,702 after meeting resistance around $2,800.

NEAR extends its September run

NEAR has made the biggest move of the three. U.Today said a September rally lifted the token by well over 100% from its August trading range, with price moving almost vertically from the $2.40-$2.60 region.

U.Today pointed to two catalysts. It described the launch of Bitwise's spot NEAR ETF on NYSE Arca on September 29 as one of them, and said growing activity around NEAR Intents (plus the network's AI-focused narrative) continued to attract attention.

The outlet's chart reading also shows how far price has run ahead of its averages. NEAR traded far above every major moving average on the daily chart, and its short-term average had only climbed toward $3.80 (against a price around $5.27). U.Today warned that NEAR is "becoming extremely extended" and said the wide gap above its moving averages "increases the probability of violent corrections." Even so, U.Today said NEAR kept producing higher highs and higher lows, meaning there's no confirmed trend reversal yet. It placed immediate resistance at $5.40-$5.50, where recent candles met selling pressure. In U.Today's view, a daily close above that zone could expose $6.00 as the next psychological target.

HYPE pulls back from $97

Hyperliquid's token didn't hold its highs. HYPE's September breakout carried it from roughly $57 to almost $100, but after reaching the $97 region it failed to attack $100 and printed a sequence of lower highs, according to U.Today. It traded around $86.14 at the time of the analysis (almost 12% below that peak).

Price fell through $90 toward the rising short-term moving average around $85-$86, and RSI slipped toward neutral after nearly reaching overbought territory. HYPE still traded above its medium- and long-term averages, though. U.Today also described Hyperliquid as one of the largest decentralized perpetual-futures venues.

The outlet said the reaction around $85-$86 would determine whether the decline turns into a deeper retracement or simply resets momentum.

ETH consolidates near $2,700

Ethereum's picture is calmer. ETH traded near $2,702 after reaching roughly $2,800 and running into resistance, and U.Today said it's consolidating around $2,700 after one of its strongest upward moves in months.

The key shift came when ETH broke out of its prolonged $1,850-$1,950 consolidation range. The outlet said the daily chart still shows a substantially stronger structure than it did over the summer.
