NEAR, XRP and SHIB test key moving averages after pullbacks, U.Today says

In brief

  • NEAR trades near $4.79 after three failed attempts to close above $5.60, per U.Today.
  • XRP sits on its 200-day average near $1.38, which U.Today called the chart's key level.
  • SHIB fell below its 200-day average and stopped at the 100-day near $0.00000529.
  • XRP needs a daily close above $1.46 to show real strength, U.Today said.

NEAR holds its 20-day line

NEAR's pullback follows a big run. The token climbed from about $1.60 in late August to nearly $5.60 in late September, a gain of more than 250%, per U.Today. It hasn't gotten past that top since (three failed attempts to close above $5.60, which the analysis called the main ceiling).

The latest drop took NEAR to $4.44 on high volume before it bounced. That low touched the 20-day moving average near $4.35, where buyers stepped in. The 50-day sits near $3.67 and the 200-day near $2.45, while RSI has cooled from overbought territory to the mid-50s.

U.Today's view is that NEAR will likely trade sideways between $4.35 and $5.60 until it closes above $5.00. If $4.35 breaks, the analysis sees a possible move toward $3.80 and then the $3.60 area.

XRP sits on its 200-day average

XRP fell from the $1.50 zone and is now sitting on its 200-day moving average near $1.38, which U.Today called the most important level on the chart. A wick reached $1.32 before buyers pushed the price back up.

That's a reversal from September, when XRP broke above a falling trend line and reached $1.65. RSI is near 42 (weak, but not oversold, in the outlet's words), and several moving averages cluster between $1.40 and $1.46, a band the analysis expects to act as resistance.

"XRP needs a daily close above $1.46 to show real strength."

On the downside, U.Today identified support at $1.33 and then $1.25. A close below $1.25 would turn the trend bearish, per the analysis.

SHIB slips below a key line

SHIB's move came as a sudden sell-off, per U.Today.

The token fell from the $0.00000600 area and dropped below its 200-day moving average near $0.00000565. The decline stopped at the 100-day average near $0.00000529 after a wick down to $0.00000510. Volume rose on the way down, which U.Today said gives sellers the edge for now.

SHIB's 20-day and 50-day averages sit near $0.00000545 to $0.00000548, and RSI is near 45 (neutral, slightly weak). All of these levels come from U.Today's chart reading as of October 10.
