OKX launches pre-IPO X-Perps and 100 tokenized stocks for European traders

Pre-IPO access expands for European retail

Pre-IPO exposure has been difficult for most European traders to access through traditional brokerage and regulated platforms, according to OKX Europe CEO Erald Ghoos. The new offering addresses this gap by bringing private company derivatives directly into the OKX ecosystem. Traders can take leveraged long or short positions on OpenAI and Anthropic, two of the most closely watched private tech companies.

The move reflects broader demand for alternative investment exposure. X-Perps volume in Europe increased fourfold since the MiCA transition period ended in July, suggesting growing appetite for derivatives trading on the platform.

Tokenized stocks and on-chain settlement

The tokenized stock offering launches with 100 markets covering companies including SpaceX, Google, NVIDIA and Palantir, along with SPY and QQQ ETFs. These products track underlying stock prices but do not give holders direct ownership of the shares or voting rights.

A key feature: the tokens can be moved on-chain through deposits and withdrawals, including to self-custody wallets. This on-chain flexibility distinguishes OKX's offering from traditional brokerage platforms and allows users to retain custody of their holdings.

Unified trading environment

Both products are available within the same OKX account as crypto spot, X-Perps, Bots, Earn and Pay. The integration lets traders manage traditional equity exposure, derivatives, and crypto holdings without switching platforms or accounts. This consolidation is designed to lower friction for retail users seeking diversified exposure across asset classes.
