Pump.fun's Alon Cohen posts three BD roles spanning prediction markets and perps
In brief
- Alon Cohen, Pump.fun co-founder, announced three business development roles on X, Crypto Briefing reported.
- Prediction markets, perpetual futures and the trading terminal each get one dedicated role.
- Pay reportedly ranges from $200,000 to $1 million, with possible bonuses on top.
- Prediction markets got their first public mention as a Pump.fun focus, according to Crypto Briefing.
Three roles, three product lines
According to Crypto Briefing, each role maps to one product line (perpetual futures, prediction markets or the trading terminal). The outlet described perpetual futures as derivatives that let traders bet on an asset's price with leverage and no expiry date. Baton Corporation, the development company behind Pump.fun, is running the recruitment.
The bar for applicants isn't low. Candidates need at least two years of experience leading business development in crypto or related platforms. New York's the preferred location, though remote applicants with exceptional qualifications can still be considered, per the report.
The pay
Compensation for the positions reportedly ranges from $200,000 to $1 million, and performance-based bonuses could sit on top of that.
It's not the first big-ticket search this year. Pump.fun recruited for a Growth Marketing Lead in 2026 with a stated range of $400,000 to $1 million, Crypto Briefing reported. Baton has also been working on social features and on courting high-volume traders and influencers, which fits the same pattern of spending on reach rather than just on code.
From memecoins to more apps
Pump.fun launched on January 19, 2024, and quickly became a notable venue for creating and trading tokens on Solana. The pitch was simple: anyone could spin up a token in minutes and start trading it right away. That simplicity put the platform at the center of the Solana memecoin scene.
Hiring for a role isn't the same as launching a product.
Cohen's post, as reported, describes jobs. It doesn't announce a live prediction market, and the job listings by themselves don't tell us when (or whether) Pump.fun will ship one. What they do show is where Baton wants its business development people spending their time: perps, prediction markets and the terminal, on top of the token launchpad that made the platform's name in the first place.
