In brief

  • Rillet closed a $100 million Series C round at $1 billion valuation, reaching unicorn status two years after founding.
  • ICONIQ led the round with returning investors Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and new backers Bain Capital Ventures and Battery Ventures.
  • The AI-native platform targets Series A-to-D startups with a real-time general ledger powered by Aura AI agents.
  • Rillet integrates natively with Stripe, Ramp, and Salesforce for companies outgrowing spreadsheets but not ready for legacy ERP systems.

Funding and Backers

The Series C round was led by ICONIQ, with returning investors Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Oak HC/FT. New backers include Bain Capital Ventures, Battery Ventures, FirstMark, Scale Venture Partners, and Creandum. Rillet has raised over $200 million in total funding across three rounds. The company previously raised a $25 million Series A led by Sequoia and a $70 million Series B in August 2025.

ICONIQ general partner Seth Pierrepont, already on the board, remains in that role after the Series C.

Product and Market Position

Rillet was founded by Nicolas Kopp, who previously ran US operations at German digital bank N26. The core product is a real-time general ledger with automated workflows powered by what Rillet calls Aura AI agents.

The platform connects natively with Stripe for revenue data, Ramp for expense management, and Salesforce for CRM and deal flow. This native integration strategy addresses a core pain point for venture-backed companies managing rapid growth and complex financial workflows.

On G2, Rillet holds a five-star rating, which the company says makes it the only ERP to achieve that distinction on the platform. The valuation reflects investor confidence in an AI-native approach to accounting software at a time when legacy vendors remain entrenched in enterprise workflows.
