In brief

  • Whale Alert flagged an unlabeled wallet sending about 133.78 million USDC to Aave.
  • Aave and USDC issuer Circle have not commented on the transfer.
  • No immediate price impact or protocol disruption was tied to the move.
  • Crypto Briefing tracked separate nine-figure USDC flows on Aave on October 3, 5 and 6.
  • USDC supply across Aave markets recently passed $3 billion, per Crypto Briefing.

What the data shows

Whale Alert flagged the transfer, and Crypto Briefing picked it up. It's a big number. On its own, though, it doesn't tell you much about who's behind it.

The wallet had no public label, and neither Aave nor Circle has said anything about it. According to the report, no immediate price impact or disruption to protocol operations has been tied to the transfer.

The wallet's owner still hasn't been identified.

Other large USDC flows on Aave

This wasn't the only nine-figure USDC movement on the protocol in recent weeks. Crypto Briefing reported that about 129.3 million USDC flowed into Aave around October 6, while roughly 149.6 million USDC arrived a day earlier, on October 5. An outflow of approximately 155 million USDC took place on October 3, according to the same report.

Further back, the outlet said multiple transactions in the $192 million to $193 million range occurred during August and September 2026. From mid-September into October, tracked deposits and withdrawals ranged from about $120 million to roughly $193 million (the wallets behind them haven't been publicly attributed).

Most of these moves were surfaced by Whale Alert on social media. Crypto Briefing said transactions flagged this way typically didn't show follow-on swaps or bridging activity.

Where USDC sits on Aave

Aave runs markets across multiple blockchain networks, and USDC is among its most heavily used assets. Crypto Briefing reported that USDC supply across Aave markets recently passed $3 billion, so the latest 133.78 million USDC deposit lands in a market that already holds more than $3 billion of the stablecoin.

Utilization rates for USDC vary significantly from one network to another on Aave. Pools with higher utilization tend to pay suppliers more, according to the report, which is the main yield dynamic for anyone supplying stablecoins to the protocol's defi markets.
