Whale Alert flags 492,721 QNT transfer worth $139.6M between unknown wallets
In brief
- Whale Alert flagged 492,721 QNT, worth about $139.6 million, moving between anonymous wallets.
- The transfer equals about 4% of circulating QNT supply, or roughly 3.3% of max supply.
- A founder-linked address moved 25,776 QNT after about seven years dormant, Crypto Briefing reported.
- The Clearing House picked Quant Network for its On-Chain Money Initiative, per Crypto Briefing.
How big is the transfer?
It works out to about 4% of QNT's circulating supply. Crypto Briefing put circulating supply at roughly 12.07 million out of a maximum of about 14.88 million, and measured against max supply the share drops to around 3.3%. (The outlet described the move as about 4% of all QNT, a figure that only lines up with circulating supply, not max supply.) Crypto Briefing also said the transfer ranked among the largest single movements of the token on record.
Nobody has said why the tokens moved.
Other dormant wallets have been active
This wasn't the only large QNT move in the report. Crypto Briefing said an address it described as founder-linked moved 25,776 QNT (worth about $6.97 million) after sitting dormant for roughly seven years. That address reportedly still holds around 600,000 QNT.
Two other dormant addresses reportedly shifted about 42,000 QNT, valued at around $10 million, toward exchanges including Binance, Coinbase and Kraken. The report doesn't say whether any of these wallets are connected to the $139.6 million transfer.
The Clearing House backdrop
The whale activity came alongside a big banking headline for Quant Network. According to Crypto Briefing, The Clearing House selected Quant Network for its On-Chain Money Initiative around September 24, 2026. The Clearing House is a US banking coalition owned by the country's largest commercial banks, and the initiative aims to build a tokenized deposit network, with launch targeted for the first half of 2027.
Overledger's core pitch is blockchain interoperability. It's meant to let different distributed ledger networks communicate with each other.
