XRP ETFs log 13th straight week of inflows as BTC, ETH, SOL funds lose $1.25B
In brief
- Bitcoin ETFs posted $681.1 million in net withdrawals, ending a three-week inflow run.
- Ethereum ETFs lost $542.07 million, their largest weekly outflow since January.
- Solana funds shed $24.81 million, snapping a 14-week positive streak.
- XRP ETFs added $11.31 million, offsetting less than 1% of the combined withdrawals.
Bitcoin swings back to outflows
Bitcoin ETFs recorded $681.1 million in net withdrawals on the week. That's a $922.19 million swing from the $241.09 million of inflows they took in the week before, and it ended a three-week run of inflows. Most of the selling came midweek (investors pulled $487.07 million on Wednesday and another $244.13 million on Thursday). A $21.13 million inflow on Friday didn't change the result: it was the funds' first negative week since the week ended Sept. 11.
Net assets closed at $105.84 billion, down from $108.89 billion a week earlier (a figure that moves with price as well as flows).
CryptoQuant's weekly netflow chart also showed withdrawals. An Oct. 9 chart from Ecoinometrics put rolling 30-day ETF inflows at roughly 30,000 to 40,000 BTC and marked demand as slowing.
Ethereum posts its worst week since January
Ethereum ETFs lost $542.07 million, nearly four times the previous week's $138.02 million outflow. Withdrawals hit all five sessions. Tuesday ($201.89 million) and Wednesday ($160.77 million) made up about 67% of the total.
It was the largest weekly outflow since January.
Cumulative net inflows since launch fell to $13.26 billion from $13.80 billion. Net assets dropped to $15.71 billion from $17.46 billion, a decline that also reflected changes in ETH's price.
Solana breaks its streak, XRP holds
Solana ETFs recorded $24.81 million in redemptions, their first negative week since June and the end of a 14-week positive streak. Monday's $9.25 million was the biggest daily loss, followed by $4.80 million on Wednesday. Cumulative inflows slipped to $1.58 billion and net assets closed at $1.73 billion.
XRP went the other way. Its funds attracted $11.31 million, more than double the prior week's $4.74 million, with the money arriving on Tuesday ($3.14 million) and Thursday ($8.17 million). The other three sessions had no net flows.
Does that offset the outflows? Not by much. XRP's inflows covered less than 1% of the combined withdrawals from Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana ETFs, and its net assets still fell to $1.57 billion from $1.66 billion even as cumulative inflows rose to $1.80 billion.
