XStable launches gold and FX trading on Sui Network
In brief
- XStable integrated with Sui Network on September 8, enabling on-chain perpetual trading for gold, silver, platinum, and palladium
- Platform uses central limit order book model with stablecoin settlement, keeping users in control of funds
- Precious metals and FX markets represent over $9 trillion in daily trading volume globally
How XStable works
XStable operates a central limit order book (CLOB) model, mimicking traditional exchange mechanics for on-chain trading. The platform currently supports perpetual contracts for gold (XAUUSD), silver (XAGUSD), platinum (XPTUSD), and palladium (XPDUSD). All settlements happen in stablecoins, giving traders exposure to commodity price movements without taking custody of physical assets.
A key differentiator: users maintain control of their funds throughout the trading process. This non-custodial design removes counterparty risk that exists on centralized platforms, where funds sit in exchange wallets.
Market opportunity and roadmap
Precious metals and FX markets together represent over $9 trillion in average daily trading volume globally. XStable is tapping into a massive market that's historically been locked behind traditional brokers and institutional gatekeepers.
XStable has secured multi-million-dollar funding from Amber Group, KuCoin Ventures, and YZi Labs. The platform was also selected for the Solana Solaris Accelerator 2026. Looking ahead, XStable has signaled plans to expand beyond precious metals into a broader set of FX pairs and potentially indices.
The team is also building what it describes as AI-native features. These include automated trading tools and intelligent order routing, positioning XStable as more than a basic spot-trading venue.
