Binance delists ten crypto pairs in August citing low liquidity

Editorial illustration for: Binance to delist ten crypto pairs across spot and futures in August

In brief

  • Binance delists four spot pairs (QNT/BTC, RPL/USDC, SIGN/BNB, SKL/USDC) on August 7 at 03:00 UTC
  • Six additional tokens (ACX, HFT, PIVX, PYR, VANRY, VIC) delist August 17; no Vanar contract swap support
  • Futures contracts settle automatically August 8; withdrawal period ends October 17

First delisting wave

Binance announced the delisting of four spot trading pairs: QNT/BTC, RPL/USDC, SIGN/BNB, and SKL/USDC. The removal takes effect August 7 at 03:00 UTC. Binance will simultaneously terminate Spot Trading Bots services for these four pairs.

The exchange frames these actions as routine market maintenance. "Selected spot trading pairs may be delisted due to multiple factors, including poor liquidity and trading volume," Binance stated, adding that the delisting protects users and maintains trading quality.

Second wave and futures impact

Six additional tokens face removal on August 17 at 03:00 UTC: Across Protocol (ACX), Hashflow (HFT), PIVX (PIVX), Vulcan Forged PYR (PYR), Vanar (VANRY), and Viction (VIC). Notably, Binance will not support Vanar's contract swap plan, which prompted the delisting decision for that token.

For the six tokens, the timeline is compressed. Binance Futures will close all positions and conduct automatic settlement on August 8 at 09:00 UTC. Binance Spot Copy Trading will delist the pairs August 10 at 03:00 UTC. Deposits won't be credited after August 18 at 03:00 UTC, and withdrawals cease entirely after October 17 at 03:00 UTC.

This marks another phase in Binance's ongoing review cycle. Users holding these tokens should act before the respective deadlines to avoid deposit and withdrawal restrictions.
