Bitcoin ETFs Add $347M as BlackRock IBIT Leads Inflow Surge
In brief
- Bitcoin ETFs added $347 million September 23, BlackRock IBIT capturing $166 million
- Five consecutive trading sessions of net inflows despite Bitcoin price below $84,000
- September 21 recorded largest single-day inflow in 11 months at $998.95 million
BlackRock Dominates Latest Session
BlackRock's IBIT accounted for nearly half of all fresh money entering US spot Bitcoin ETFs during the day. The fund's consistent leadership underscores its position as the primary vehicle for institutional Bitcoin exposure. Ether ETFs also posted gains, with US spot Ether ETFs attracting $105 million on the same session. BlackRock's ETHA added $50.8 million in inflows.
Five-Day Winning Streak
Bitcoin ETFs have managed to log five consecutive trading sessions of net inflows. September 21 marked the most dramatic session yet. US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted a staggering $998.95 million—their biggest single-day inflow in approximately 11 months. BlackRock's IBIT led that charge with $381.4 million, while ARK and 21Shares' ARKB drew $289.1 million and Fidelity's FBTC added another $238.8 million.
The momentum carried forward. On September 22, these products recorded $714.75 million in inflows, with IBIT again occupying first place at $350.3 million. Morgan Stanley's MSBT, a relative newcomer, also recorded a notable $99 million inflow.
Resilience Amid Pressure
US spot Bitcoin ETFs had spent a substantial portion of 2026 underwater before recently surging back into positive territory for the year. The latest inflow wave demonstrates institutional capital continues flowing into these vehicles regardless of spot price fluctuations. That divergence—strong fund inflows despite price weakness—suggests confidence in Bitcoin's longer-term trajectory persists among large investors, even when retail sentiment may waver.
