BlackRock's ETHA leads $53.02M Ethereum ETF inflow, ending weeklong outflows
In brief
- US spot Ethereum ETFs took in a net $53.02 million on November 4, per Crypto Briefing.
- About $514.8 million flowed out of the funds the prior week.
- BlackRock's ETHA drew between $32.75 million and $32.8 million of the inflow.
- Five of the 11 spot Ethereum ETFs recorded inflows on the day.
- ETHB, BlackRock's staking-focused fund, lost $22.38 million, its largest outflow since late June.
Five of 11 funds took in money
Fidelity's FETH came in second with $19.24 million of inflows, per Crypto Briefing. Grayscale's two products added fresh capital too (its ETH fund took in $13.6 million and ETHE drew $9.68 million), while 21Shares' TETH rounded out the list at $0.12 million.
That's five of the 11 spot Ethereum ETFs in the green. The other six were flat or negative, so the buying was concentrated in a handful of funds.
It's one day of data. Not a trend.
ETHA holds about 3.53 million ETH, with total assets of $8.61 billion and a 59.5% market share, according to the report. It also dominated the tape: total ETF trading volume reached $947.59 million on the day, and ETHA alone accounted for $626 million of it.
BlackRock's staking fund went the other way
Not every BlackRock product saw money come in. ETHB, the firm's separate staking-focused Ethereum product, lost $22.38 million, which was its largest outflow since late June. Crypto Briefing suggested the move may reflect investors reallocating within BlackRock's own product lineup, but that's the outlet's interpretation and it isn't confirmed.
Where the funds stand
Spot Ethereum ETFs launched in the US in July 2024, following spot Bitcoin ETFs. Since then, cumulative net inflows across the 11 funds have reached roughly $12.08 billion to $12.12 billion, per Crypto Briefing. Total net assets sit around $14.12 billion, which works out to about 4.77% of Ethereum's market cap.
ETH itself closed near $2,273 to $2,274 on November 4.
Does one green day change the picture? On its own, it doesn't. The week before still saw about $514.8 million head for the exits, and a single $53.02 million day doesn't come close to reversing that.
