Cardano's Staking Milestone and Development Roadmap
Cardano celebrated its 6th anniversary of staking this week. The milestone marks six years since the Shelley upgrade, which introduced stake pools and delegation to Cardano, launched on July 29, 2020.
The network's development continues forward. Following a successful van Rossem hard fork, Cardano has turned its focus to the Dijkstra era. The initial Dijkstra rollout is planned in three phases, introducing Nested Transactions, Linear Leios, and Peras.
The Haskell node team aims to deliver Phase 1 (Nested Transactions) and Phase 2 (Linear Leios) to Mainnet by the end of 2026. These upgrades target improved transaction throughput and network scalability.
