Institutional Managers Building XRP Positions
Gerber isn't alone. Gallacher Capital Management LLC reported a new position in the Canary XRP ETF on July 17, disclosing ownership of 86,744 shares valued at approximately $961,126. Vista Finance LLC revealed one of the largest institutional XRP ETF positions disclosed so far, with its SEC filing showing ownership of 129,958 shares of the Franklin XRP ETF valued at $11.45 million.
CPR Investments, a Michigan-based registered investment adviser, disclosed on July 15 that it had established a position in the ProShares Ultra XRP ETF, reporting ownership of 36,619 shares valued at approximately $363,627. The pattern across multiple filings points to a consistent trend.
These holdings remain relatively modest compared with positions commonly seen in Bitcoin ETFs. Yet they signal something broader about market structure and adviser behavior.
Growing XRP ETF Market
The combined XRP ETF market has approximately $683.66 million in assets as of the latest update. The Bitwise XRP ETF leads the sector at roughly $243 million, followed by the Canary XRP ETF with nearly $223 million and the Franklin XRP ETF with approximately $167 million.
Recent inflow data reinforces the momentum. U.S. spot XRP ETFs experienced 532,500 XRP of net inflows on July 27, reflecting consistent institutional demand for regulated exposure to the asset.
The significance isn't in the absolute dollar amounts but in the composition of buyers. Registered investment advisers and institutional asset managers represent a different class of participant than retail traders or crypto-native investors. They operate under SEC oversight, fiduciary duties, and compliance frameworks that require deliberate decision-making. When multiple RIAs file positions within weeks of each other, it suggests a shift in how traditional finance views XRP as an investable asset class.
