Four transactions, per Whale Alert
Whale Alert logged the unlock in four pieces: 400 million XRP (worth $595,636,565 at the time of unlock), 200 million XRP ($297,818,282), 300 million XRP ($446,727,424) and 100 million XRP ($148,909,141). Those dollar figures are values at the moment each tranche unlocked.

The headline number doesn't tell the whole story. The full 1 billion XRP doesn't necessarily enter the circulating market, and U.Today noted that Ripple has often returned about 700 to 800 million of each unlock to escrow in the past, using the rest for operations, ecosystem initiatives and other activities. What Ripple sends back over the following 24 hours decides how much XRP is actually left in escrow.
What's left in escrow
For now, about 31.845 billion XRP is escrowed. According to XRPScan data cited by U.Today, that's 31,845,130,805 XRP (31.9% of supply), down from more than 32.4 billion XRP reported months earlier. Circulating supply stood at 68,126,080,636 XRP, or 68.1% of the 100 billion total, and 14,394,279 XRP (about 0.014% of supply) had been burned.
The final escrow figure depends on what Ripple returns.

The LendingProtocolV1_1 amendment is open for validator voting. It introduces closed-ended vaults and cash-basis accounting for XRPL lending, and it has to activate before the Lending Protocol and Single Asset Vault amendments can proceed.
On payments, RippleX head of engineering JA Akinyele said more than 10 million x402 payments have settled on the XRP Ledger, less than three months after the 1 million mark. He said AI agents paying for inference and data still make up most of that volume, and put the latest 7-day run rate at 500,000 payments per day.
