Blockchain Launch and Core Products

Robinhood officially launched the public mainnet for Robinhood Chain following about four months of testnet development. Robinhood Chain is a layer-2 blockchain built on Arbitrum designed for tokenized real-world assets and decentralized finance applications.

The company's existing product lineup already extends well beyond equities. Stock Tokens are available through Robinhood Wallet in more than 120 countries. Robinhood has expanded into tokenized equities, derivatives and prediction markets, blurring traditional finance and crypto.

New Lending and Trading Features

Robinhood introduced Robinhood Earn, a decentralized lending product allowing users to lend USDG, the company's dollar-backed stablecoin. The product offers an estimated annual percentage yield of 7%.

On the trading side, the company unveiled Agentic Accounts for crypto, an AI-powered trading tool for eligible U.S. users. Robinhood is also expanding perpetual futures trading in Europe to include commodities, ETFs and foreign exchange markets alongside crypto.

Geographic Expansion and Headcount

The brokerage continues its international push. Robinhood plans to launch crypto trading in the U.K., and its services are now available in Canada following its acquisition of WonderFi.

That expansion comes amid internal restructuring. The company announced last month it would lay off 10% of its workforce, approximately 290 employees. Stock performance has been mixed. Robinhood shares were up 5% during the day, still some 30% off from its October record.
