In brief

  • SpaceX reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of about $14.58 billion, up 161% year over year.
  • Super Intelligence segment (compute, Grok, Cursor) brought in $7.56 billion, up 830%.
  • Starlink revenue reached $5.25 billion, up 69% from a year ago.
  • Anthropic compute contract, worth roughly $15 billion a year, underpins much of the AI growth.
  • SpaceX's $100 billion run-rate target sits well above quarterly revenue times four.

AI takes the top line

The Super Intelligence segment brought in $7.56 billion, an 830% jump year over year. Starlink, the satellite internet service that's long been the company's financial engine, posted $5.25 billion, up 69%.

"More than half of that came from AI, not satellites or launches."

Much of the AI growth traces to a multi-year compute contract with Anthropic with an annualized value of roughly $15 billion. Other deals with hyperscalers add to that base, the publication said. For context, SpaceX's revenue for all of 2025 was $18.7 billion.

Cash, debt and a murky capex figure

As of September 30, SpaceX held about $89.9 billion in cash and marketable securities. It carried $38.8 billion in debt and finance leases against that.

The spending picture is less clear. Crypto Briefing put AI capital spending at $15.83 billion to $16.44 billion across the second and third quarters (supporting 1.7 GW of nameplate compute capacity), then later described the same range as quarterly. On the quarterly reading, the publication said SpaceX is reinvesting at a pace close to its total quarterly revenue. The report doesn't resolve which period is correct, so that comparison needs care.

The $100 billion question

SpaceX targeted a $100 billion annualized revenue run-rate by late 2026.

It isn't there yet.

Simply multiplying the third quarter by four falls well short of that mark, the publication noted. Concentration is the other open issue: Crypto Briefing said leaning on the Anthropic contract means a meaningful share of revenue depends on a single customer relationship. It's a strong anchor for the AI business, and it's also the reason one counterparty now matters so much to SpaceX's top line.

Frequently asked questions

What is SpaceX's Super Intelligence segment?

It's the unit that groups SpaceX's AI businesses, including compute services, Grok and Cursor. In the third quarter of 2026 it brought in $7.56 billion, up 830% year over year, which was more than Starlink's $5.25 billion.

What is driving SpaceX's AI revenue growth?

A multi-year compute contract with Anthropic, worth about $15 billion a year, accounts for much of the segment's growth, according to Crypto Briefing. Other deals with hyperscalers also contributed. The publication said this means a meaningful share of revenue depends on a single customer relationship.
