In brief

  • XRP Ledger added 7,734 newly activated accounts on November 1, 2026, up 33% day over day, per XRPScan.
  • The network's 30-day average was roughly 3,500 new accounts per day.
  • U.Today put the rise in account creation at 142.4% but said the cause is unclear.
  • More accounts don't necessarily mean more users, U.Today noted.
  • XRP traded near $1.25, below several major moving averages, according to TradingView data.

What XRPScan's numbers show

U.Today reported that new account creation on the XRP Ledger rose 142.4%, citing XRPScan data. The outlet didn't say what that percentage is measured against, so the absolute counts are the easier thing to read. XRPScan counted 7,734 new accounts on November 1, compared with a 30-day average of roughly 3,500 a day.

It isn't a record, though.

XRPScan's history shows account creation has spiked before, with an all-time high of about 30,600 new accounts (well above the latest figure).

Accounts aren't users

U.Today said it's unclear why wallet creation has sped up. The outlet floated a few possibilities, including interest in tokenized assets, stablecoins and defi apps on the XRPL. It said exchange onboarding and automated wallet creation could also be adding to the count. Those are U.Today's guesses, not confirmed causes.

The outlet also flagged the bigger caveat itself: more accounts don't necessarily mean more users, since one person can open several accounts and automated systems can open multiple accounts too. U.Today said stronger confirmation of XRPL adoption would need sustained growth in active addresses, transaction volumes and ecosystem use.

Price hasn't followed

TradingView data from November 2 showed XRP trading near $1.25 after a long correction from its September and October highs. It's still below several major moving averages, and U.Today described bearish pressure as dominating the technical picture. In its technical analysis, the outlet placed immediate support around $1.20 to $1.25 and identified the $1.30 to $1.35 region as potential resistance if XRP tries to recover.

So the on-chain count and the market are telling different stories right now. U.Today summed up where that leaves things:

"Whether it turns into real demand for XRP is still an open question."
