XRP Ledger Nears 200,000 Daily Active Users as Network Activity Surges
In brief
- XRP Ledger daily active users climbed to nearly 190,800, approaching a 200,000-user milestone last seen months ago
- Network activity surged dramatically in late July after months of volatility between 110,000 and 150,000 users
- XRP price remains under pressure at $1.07 despite rising on-chain engagement and key moving average resistance
Network Recovery Takes Shape
XRP Ledger activity increased dramatically in the last trading week of July, reaching levels not seen in recent months. For most of the month prior, the network had varied between 110,000 and 150,000 daily active users—a far cry from the 200,000 threshold now in sight. The climb is notable because it follows a period of real pain. Earlier in the year, following a wider market correction, the XRP Ledger struggled to sustain even 100,000 daily active users.
The significance of reaching 200,000 users isn't just a number. Reaching 200,000 indicates that network activity is starting to return to normal rather than just responding to sporadic spikes in speculative trading. User engagement on blockchain networks is often considered one of the healthier indicators because it reflects real ecosystem participation instead of pure price chasing.
Price Pressure Remains
XRP itself hasn't followed the network's bullish signals. The asset is currently trading around $1.07 after yet another failed attempt to overcome resistance around $1.10. That's a problem for momentum traders. XRP is still stuck below the 50-day and 100-day moving averages, which continue to serve as dynamic barriers.
The technical picture remains mixed at best. The Relative Strength Index is slightly below the neutral threshold at 47, suggesting bearish pressure still has room to run. The 200-day moving average sits at $1.21, a significant hurdle for bulls eyeing a genuine trend reversal.
The Disconnect
There's a visible gap between what's happening on-chain and what the price chart shows. Earlier in July, XRP made a brief attempt to break out of a symmetrical triangle, but buying momentum was not sustained. Now, with user activity climbing toward its highest levels in months, the question becomes whether that fundamental strength can eventually translate into price recovery. For now, XRP remains locked below its key technical barriers while its network thrives.
