XRP Seoul lineup lists Kyobo Securities, Woori Bank and Kakao Bank for Oct. 3

Korean banks on the agenda
According to Hussein Zangana (Vet), director of community at the XRP Ledger Foundation, XRP Seoul will feature sessions with Kyobo Securities, Woori Bank and Kakao Bank. Zangana made the remarks in a post on X, which U.Today reported. The sessions are set to focus on tokenization, payments on crypto rails and DeFi.

U.Today described Kakao Bank as the country's leading internet bank, associated with the Kakao platform.
Being on a panel isn't the same as adopting XRP.
The published speaker lineup goes well beyond those three names. On Ripple's side, it's RippleX Head of Engineering J.A. Akinyele, Christina Chan (Senior Director of Ecosystem Growth) and APAC Sales Director Jinnie Lee. Korean finance is represented by Heejin Shin, Executive Director of Kyobo Securities, plus representatives from Kbank, Kakao Bank and Woori Bank, and Mansik Yoon, Team Leader at Jeonbuk Bank. The list also includes Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla, Ondo Finance Managing Director Min Lin, Flare Networks co-founder Hugo Philion, Datavault AI CEO Nathaniel T. Bradley and Biconomy founder Aniket Jindal.
A busy October for the XRP Ledger
The Seoul event lands in a crowded month. Three XRP Ledger amendments (Batch, fixBatchV1_2 and permissions delegation) are set to launch in October. Batch and its fix are targeting mainnet activation on October 9, while permissions delegation is expected on October 8, as long as support stays above 80% for the two-week activation window.
That condition matters. The dates aren't locked until the window closes with support intact.
Later in the month, the Swell event is expected to be held October 27–29, 2026, which U.Today called a major event for XRP and the Ripple ecosystem.
