Rabby Wallet adds long-press option to remove scam tokens on mobile
In brief
- Rabby Wallet mobile users can now long-press a token to remove or hide it.
- Rabby announced the update on its official X account on October 22, 2026.
- Hidden tokens remain at the address on-chain; only the wallet view changes.
- Rabby's browser extension already let desktop users hide tokens.
What changed on mobile
The new feature lets users long-press a token in their portfolio to remove it or hide it from view, according to Crypto Briefing. The version history for Rabby's recent iOS App Store update includes the line "Supports removing scam tokens."
The announcement on X was short.
Long press to delete scam tokens.
Rabby is developed by OPCODE LABS PTE. LTD. It works with Ethereum and with other blockchains that run on the same underlying technology. The company didn't name any specific tokens alongside the rollout, and it didn't announce any partnerships either.
What "remove" actually means
There's a catch, and it's an important one.
Removing a token from view doesn't remove it from the blockchain. The token still sits at the user's address on-chain. Only the wallet's display changes.
That matters because on public blockchains, anyone can send tokens to any address, and the recipient doesn't have to accept them. They just show up. Crypto Briefing said malicious airdrops push worthless or booby-trapped tokens into thousands of wallets to get users to interact with them. Address poisoning is a related trick: the attacker sends a transaction from an address that looks like one the user has used before, hoping they'll copy the wrong address later.
Desktop users already had this
Rabby's browser extension already let desktop users hide unwanted tokens before this update, according to Crypto Briefing. Mobile users didn't have an easy way to do the same thing until now. The outlet also reported that the wallet has automatically marked suspicious, unsolicited transaction entries with a "Scam Tx" label since at least 2023.
The flagging is automatic, but the cleanup isn't. Rabby marks suspicious activity, and users decide for themselves which tokens to remove (one long press per token on mobile).
Frequently asked questions
Does removing a scam token in Rabby Wallet delete it from the blockchain?
No. Removing a token in Rabby only hides it from the wallet view, according to Crypto Briefing. The token stays at the user's address on-chain.
Why do scam tokens show up in crypto wallets?
On public blockchains, anyone can send tokens to any address, and the recipient doesn't have to accept them. Malicious airdrops send worthless or booby-trapped tokens to thousands of wallets to get users to interact with them.
Could Rabby desktop users hide tokens before this update?
Yes. Crypto Briefing reported that desktop users could already hide unwanted tokens through Rabby's browser extension. Mobile users didn't have the same easy option before the long-press feature.
